Search as a Service, Anyone? Neeva Could be the New Model.
I’m going rogue and checking out a search engine called Neeva.
It’s a subscription-based service with no ads.
It’s early days but so far, so good.
I was intrigued by a Freakonomics podcast (link in comments) that explored whether Google search is getting worse.
It’s amazing that Google has dominated the search market for so long.
Maybe its staying power has been buoyed by the lack of credible competitors.
Two questions:
• Would switch from Google to another search engine if the results were just as good.
• Would you pay a subscription for an ad-free search engine?
