The bar is rising fast for designers and writers
If I were a designer, I’d hate Canva.
For, it has democratized design.
Anyone can pretty much design anything.
It means less business for designers.
As important, it has elevated the bar for designers.
Whenever I’m not impressed by a designer’s work, my first thought is, “I could have done it in Canva” or, worse, “it looks like it was done in Canva”.
Designers need to spend more time understanding what clients want and do better and higher-quality work.
A Canva for content has yet to appear for writers, although tools like WordTune, Grammarly, and Jasper show that AI is a force to be reckoned with.
We’ve entered a world of creators versus technology.
It’s game on for creators who need to leverage technology but also become even more creative in the process.
