Seven Story Themes for Startup PR
Startups dream about media coverage because it offers the promise of instant notoriety and overnight success.
The reality, however, is media coverage is really challenging to attract.
Why? Most startups are not that interesting, and there’s a lot of competition from other startups seeking the spotlight.
To capture the attention of a reporter or blogger, a startup needs to tell a story that is different, unique, part of a trend or oozing with success. Here’s an infographic about startup PR that I created with LaunchSpark, which specializes in infographic and demo videos.

To learn more about the power of storytelling, my new book, Storytelling for Startups gives entrepreneurs strategic and tactical guidance on how to tell stories to the right people in the right places. I also offer storytelling workshops. For more details, send me email (mark@marketingspark.co)
